ICND Part 2 - Mastering Cisco Associate-Level Internetworking

CCNA220 : 5 Day Instructor-Led Workshop

The next step towards CCNA Certification.

This comprehensive, hands-on, 5-day Authorized Cisco® course builds on the foundation provided by the ‘CCNA210 – Mastering Entry-Level Internetworking (ICND1). This course, will provide a technical foundation for the rest of the Authorized Cisco® curriculum. CCNA220 is focused on expansion and progression of the skills learned in the CCNA210 by adding advanced technologies and diving deeper into the technologies previously mastered in the CCNA210 to cultivate further mastery into the CCNA® - level. This course escalates the scope of the CCNA210 (ICND1) course from a small network to a medium-sized switched and routed internetwork for business-class environments such as SMB.

Your journey towards mastery of CCNA® - level skills opens with a Composite Lab Evolution, in which you will review and rebuild the final topology used in the CCNA210 (ICND1) course and prepare to extend the network to the full CCNA® internetwork layout. View Topology You will explore and master the advanced routing, switching, security and other essential technologies required of a Cisco® Certified Network Associate. This will be accomplished through a series of technology and scenario discussions that are teamed with extremely realistic hands-on exercises used to validate your mastery of skills. All discussions and exercises fixate on mastery of each technology based on its practical orientation within the ‘Big Picture’ and implementation using industry proven technique and ‘best practice’.

The hands-on exercises, known as ‘Evolutions’ will test your ability to create solutions to internetwork scenarios, implement each technology and troubleshoot efficiently within a dynamic network environment. All Evolutions within the CCNA220 follow the Interface HardHat™ framework, which focuses on the development of planning, execution and problem-solving skills critical in the real world. The HardHat™ framework is deliberately architected to mimic the realistic and universal scenarios, forcing you to think through them and implement precise solutions based solely on stated objectives. Step-by-step instructions do not exist for real-life and therefore do not exist in HardHat™. You will gain invaluable experience operating on a wide range of Cisco® hardware; from Cisco® Aggregation routers and ISRs to several models of Catalyst® switch, 2960 to 6500, all of which is in the room with you for you to build yourself. You will configure your 6500s for the network to function correctly; nothing is ‘pre’ configured.

Whether your goal is to familiarize yourself with Cisco® technology or to eventually become a Cisco® Certified Internetworking Expert - CCIE®, the CCNA® is the place to begin. If you are looking to operate most proficiently in Cisco® network environments, the CCNA220 prepares you to take on the real-life challenges that are commonplace within medium-sized switched and routed internetworks in today’s business-class systems, properly apply Cisco® solutions, and achieve mastery of CCNA® skills.
