This four-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to upgrade their SQL Server 2005 database server skills to SQL Server 2008. The course covers new features for both the database server and the Business Intelligence services (Analysis Services, Integration Services and Reporting Services).
Modules on upgrading databases to SQL Server 2008, Transact-SQL enhancements and SQL Server Integration Services enhancements have been added to the base Microsoft course offering.
This class incorporates a case study. The case study provides the students with a real world scenario via a set of requirements. The student must design and implement their solution based on the requirements. This gives the students the ability to exercise the skills they learned during the class in a real world situation.
This course will be based on the SQL Server 2008 CTP6.
