Spike has been involved in technology for over 15 years. He started in the early days of e-commerce running the order processing and credit card authorizations for one of the largest gift companies in the world. He charted off into his own waters in 1995 by starting a company of his own which would become merch.com.  Merch.com grew from his bedroom into one of the largest on line e-commerce merchandisers in the world.  Serving as the official online store for such acts as: No Doubt, the Offspring, Social Distortion, Nine Inch Nails, Tony Hawk, Pink, Pennywise and many others.  It was during this time that Spike fell in love with web design and development.

Spike is the Technical Editor for:
Beginning Expression Web by Zak Ruvalcaba
Beginning Ajax by Chris Ullman, Lucinda Dykes
Professional ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX by Matt Gibbs, Dan Wahlin
HTML5 Unleashed

Spike wrote the cover article for  ASP.NET Pro magazine entitled “Master Your Domain” which was an article outlining step by step the process of using CSS for laying out Master Pages in ASP.NET 2.0.

Spike was the director of the Arizona Share Point Professionals User Group for a few years.  The group meets once a month and features presentations and training on the latest in SharePoint technologies.

Spike made the class fun and turned it into a learning adventure. Great Job Spike!!
