HardHat™ Upgrading Windows Server 2003 Skills to Windows Server 2008 R2
Learn in the real world: update your skills to Microsoft Server 2008 R2. In our HardHat sessions, students get to build everything possible for each technology element with their own hands. This course will introduce you to the new features of Server 2008 R2 such as the PowerShell interface, active directory services, administration center, Direct Access, and remote access.
Course Description
This five-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to work with Network Infrastructure, Group Policy and Active Directory technologies in Windows Server 2008. This course is intended for individuals who already have experience with Network Infrastructure and Active Directory technologies in Windows Server 2000 or Windows Server 2003 to upgrade their skills to Windows Server 2008. This course includes some material from Microsoft Official Courses MOC 6416 and MOC 10159
Audience
This is a hands-on course designed for experienced engineers with a need to update their skills quickly. This course is intended for IT Professionals experienced on the technologies included in Windows Server 2000 and Windows Server 2003, and who hold an MCSE or MCSA certificate and/or equivalent knowledge.
Prerequisites
This is an advanced, hands-on class. Before taking this course, students should have successfully completed the following courses or have equivalent experience:
A560: CompTIA A+ Essentials
CCNA220: ICND1 - Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1
HH9108: Windows Server 2003 & 2008 Active Directory Administration
HH9208: Windows Server 03 & 08 Implementing, Managing, Troubleshooting Servers and Infrastructure
It is also recommended that students have completed course HH9308: Windows Server 2003 & 2008 Advanced Active Directory Design and Implementation or have equivalent experience.
